Upcoming Parent Workshops

Executive Function Online Workshop

As an executive function coach, I am thrilled to introduce our new workshops designed to support parents in enhancing their children's executive functioning skills.

This workshop aims to address key areas where children often struggle, including "Routines and Getting Out the Door," "Organization, Item Tracking and Multi-step Directions," "Emotional Regulation and Situational Awareness," and "Homework and Schoolwork."

Organization, Item Tracking and Multi-step Directions

The “Organization, Item Tracking and Multi-step Directions” module will provide parents with valuable tools to help their children develop organizational skills. We will explore methods for organizing belongings, creating visual checklists, and helping guide your kids to visualize a mental map for multiple steps to help kids get less side-tracked and not forget. Parents will gain insights into effective communication strategies and how to support their children in following multi-step directions.

Emotional Regulation and Situational Awareness

The final session, "Emotional Regulation and Situational Awareness" workshop, parents will learn strategies to help their children manage emotions, develop self-awareness, and navigate social situations effectively. We will discuss techniques for identifying and expressing emotions, practicing mindfulness, and fostering situational awareness to promote positive interactions and emotional well-being.

Homework and Schoolwork

In the, “Homework and Schoolwork,” session will equip parents with practical techniques to support their children’s academic success. We will explore strategies for setting up a conducive homework environment, managing time effectively, and promoting effective work habits that lead to completion and turning in work. Parents will also learn how to break down assignments to limit the “stress-of starting,” and offer appropriate guidance without over-managing.

Routines and Getting Out the Door

During the “Routines and Getting Out the Door” segment, we will delve into strategies for establishing effective routines, managing transitions, and minimizing morning chaos. Parents will learn practical techniques to streamline the morning routine, create visual schedules, and implement strategies to ensure a smooth start to the day.

Throughout the workshops, parents will have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, receive personalized guidance, and gain valuable insights from experienced executive function coaches. By attending this workshop, parents will gain the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to help their children thrive academically, emotionally, and organizationally.

Join us and empower yourself as a parent to support your child's executive functioning skills. Together, we can unlock their potential and set them up for success in managing all aspects of their own lives.
